A downloadable game for Windows

A 2D 1v1, strategy game played on a grid, players push the enemy tiles outside the board.

Similar to board games like Chess, Checkers and Tactics.


Rules:

Each player starts with 8 pieces each. Total 16 pieces. Place your pieces carefully on the board

Use your pieces to push the enemy pieces off the board

When there are 8 or lesser total pieces remaining the 6x6 grid turns into a 4x4 grid, eliminating all pieces on the outermost tiles.

The 4x4 grid becomes a 2x2 grid when there are 4 or lesser pieces remaining

Push all 8 pieces of the enemy off the grid and you WIN!

Install instructions

Windows

  • Download the TileMap 2D.zip file
  • Place in a folder on your desktop
  • Right-click > Extract Here
  • Double click to run TileMap 2D.exe
  • If your computer prevents you from running the game, then:
    • Click on More Info
    • Then click on Run Anyway
    • (It's there because it doesn't identify the developer)

macOS

If the game doesn't work after unzipping, try to use another unarchiver program. The Unarchiver is one example. 

If it doesn't open because of security reasons, then:

  • Open System Preferences
  • Go to Security and Privacy settings
  • Then go to General tab
  • Click on the Open Anyway button
  • (This happens because it is made by an unidentified developer)

Linux

Right-click > Properties > Permissions and tick "Allow this application to run as a program"
